Lindsey Vonn is an American alpine skiing champion who was born 18 October 1984. She was a gold medalist in downhill at the Winter Olympics and has also won four World Cups. Vonn has the second-highest average score of all skiers of all genders. She's among the top skiers of all time and the most popular skier across the United States. She has an extensive and prestigious track record in American sports. She is among only six female athletes to have won in every one of the alpine skiing World Cup events. Overall, she's won 82 World Cup championships. The top skiers in the world, which includes the most skilled American ski racers, have announced their retirement after the World Championship in Sweden. Four-time World Cup winner decided to leave after having a lengthy list of ailments. She used social media to declare her retirement. My final race of my career is set to take place on the island of Re Sweden next week, during the Downhill World Championships, as well as SG World Championships.
